Randy is an entrepreneurial executive with a talent for attracting and developing highly talented managers and advisors.  With early experience designing management information systems across a broad range of industries, he became particularly interested in the process by which companies could reinvent themselves around key components of their core technologies.

Randy has led Concordia to develop a global reputation as an innovator in the application of textile technology to non-textile fields. He has been responsible for Concordia's development of several patents.  His ability to understand a client's strategic goals has driven Concordia to develop a range of complex technical products for many of America's best companies.   From new tennis racquets to advanced aerospace composites to biomedical products, Randy produces innovative design and manufacturing solutions. Relationships that Randy has developed with industry leading companies in the fiber handling business have been instrumental in allowing Concordia to execute on a number of high value acquisitions. Randy joined Concordia in 1984, and has been CEO since 1993.

A graduate of Middlebury College with master’s degrees from the University of Chicago and the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School, Randy worked for several years for Deloitte Touche as a management consultant in New York City.   Randy is a member of the Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering, the American Society for Quality, the Industrial Fabrics Association, and the Society for Biomaterials.

Dr. Robert Valentini, President, Concordia Medical
Robert Valentini, M.D./Ph.D., brings to Concordia a wealth of medical, scientific and business expertise. He is CEO of P & H Therapeutics, a drug development company. He founded and is a director of Myomics, Inc., a Providence, RI start-up company that is discovering and developing drugs for neuromuscular diseases. As Program Executive at Shire HGT, he was responsible for Replagal, a $100-million enzyme replacement therapy approved in 34 countries. As a co-founder, Director and COO of Cell Based Delivery, a biotechnology company that developed innovative products to treat hemophilia, anemia, and cardiovascular disease, Dr. Valentini raised over $11 million in venture capital financing. Dr. Valentini was formerly professor of medical science at Brown University, where he focused on biomaterials, tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. He obtained his Sc.B., Ph.D., and M.D. degrees from Brown.

Alan Hollenbeck, Director of Engineering
Al has 20 years of experience in new product development, manufacturing engineering, and program management in various regulated industries with companies such as Pfizer, Poly-Flex Circuits, Parlex and APC. Al obtained a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from M.I.T., an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute's Hartford Graduate Center, and has achieved Six Sigma Black Belt certification. At Poly-Flex Circuits, a contract manufacturer of flexible polymer circuits, Al led the development and implementation of numerous innovative design concepts and manufacturing methods for the manufacture of flexible medical electrodes. In his role at Concordia Medical, Al is responsible for all engineering and technical functions related to new product and process development, manufacturing improvements, facilities maintenance, project management, and capital equipment.

Skip Farinha, Director of Operations
Skip Farinha brings 22 years of medical device experience in operations, quality, and regulatory affairs roles. Skip has specialized in the start-up of medical device companies and was most recently instrumental in creating and running a medical device business unit that manufactures FDA Class III implant components in a high-precision machine shop. Previous roles have included VP of Operations and Regulatory Affairs for Sontra Medical Corporation, Director of Operations and Regulatory Affairs for BIOLINK Corporation, and Director of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs for Ultracision, Inc.

Ian Christianson, Director of Quality Assurance/Regulatory Affairs
Ian has over 10 years of quality assurance experience in the medical device industry focused on medical device design and manufacturing.  Before joining Concordia, Ian was a Senior Quality Manager for Boston Scientific Corporation.  Ian has also worked for the Codman division of Johnson & Johnson and Genzyme Biosurgery where he developed experience with absorbable polymers.  Ian has a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Arizona and an M.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from Texas A&M University.  Ian also has an M.B.A. from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.

Sherry A. Curcio, Sales Operations Manager
A second generation, 10 year veteran of Concordia Fibers, Sherry has developed a broad range of knowledge and expertise within the company. Her assertiveness, keen attention to detail, and problem solving skills have allowed her to master multiple roles such as Customer Service, Systems Support, Accounting, and Inventory Control. As Sales Operations Manager she is recognized for excellent customer service, developing strong relationships with customers by making sure their needs are fulfilled.

Kevin Leandro, Facilities Manager
Kevin's 25 years of experience in the textile industry enables the Facilities Team at Concordia Fibers to perform with the highest level of expertise. Kevin set up Concordia's machine shop and has been a leader in developing and executing the company's technical innovations.

William A. Martin, Director of Accounting and Finance
Bill brings his nearly forty years of varied manufacturing and managerial accounting experience to the Concordia team. Most recently, he was a corporate controller for Avitar Technologies Inc., a medical device manufacturing company. He has deep experience in manufacturing from controller positions at the plant level to corporate responsibility for 4 manufacturing facilities. With his strong cost accounting and financial reporting experience, Bill will be a key strategic partner on the management team as Concordia grows its business opportunities. Bill received his B.S. in Business Administration from Bryant College.
